On April 25th, I walked into the digital production workshop of Shengzhou Shuanggang Electric Co., Ltd. located in Ganlin Town. I saw that all the processes in the workshop, such as material loading, production, and assembly, were being carried out in an orderly manner. Digital empowerment enables Shuanggang Electric to run out of the "smart manufacturing" acceleration and realize a new revolution in manufacturing.

A year ago, Shuanggang Electric used one word to describe it as "chaos": the work orders that are always pressed at the bottom, the workers who want to make whichever orders, the over-produced motors piled up in the warehouse, and the ones that should be delivered. The product is still on the production line... Facing the problems of disorderly management, waste of raw materials and capital occupation, Shi Makang, who just took over Shuanggang Electric from his father, deeply realized that transformation must be done to change.

How to transfer? Shi Makang believes that digital transformation is the way out for Shuanggang Electric. He told reporters that digital management, digital marketing and digital manufacturing must be the three "magic weapons" that will enable enterprises to transform in the future.

Shuanggang Electric has 6 production lines, 50 processes, and more than 100 employees operating in the workshop. Before the digital transformation, the production progress, execution status, and employee piece count of orders all depended on oral and document transmission, which resulted in slow circulation, low efficiency, and error-prone. The workshop director can only plan and schedule production based on his personal experience, and often over-schedule production, resulting in a backlog of more than 20,000 semi-finished products. After the digital transformation, the planned tasks are issued online, the processing data is accurately collected, and the progress of the production line is tracked in real time. Employees can report to work in the corresponding process with one click, and the data is quickly fed back to the cloud.

The changes don't stop there. Through the MES system, Shuanggang Electric closely binds the quality inspection with the production process. During the first inspection, patrol inspection, and process inspection, the quality inspector enters the inspection data on the tablet, and the system determines whether it is qualified or not according to the standard parameters. The inspection personnel, time, quantity, pass rate and other information are uploaded in real time, the inspection data is converged in the cloud, and the quality report is automatically generated. The quality inspection department can accurately find the links and causes of frequent quality problems, and ensure that the quality inspection is visualized and traceable.

At the same time, Shuanggang Electric uses the coding method of one item, one code, and the barcode information shall prevail for employees to access materials. By scanning barcodes, warehouse managers can grasp the location, inventory, and batch information of materials, quickly enter and exit the warehouse, and maintain real-time and accurate changes in inventory data. The purchasing department uses a complete set of calculation functions to calculate the material shortage data of the order with one click, purchase materials accurately, reduce excessive stocking, and release warehouse space.

On this basis, managers can also appreciate the convenience brought by digitalization. "I can now grasp the production progress, product yield, and completion date of the production line in real time from the cloud data monitoring center, allocate resources reasonably, and scientifically adjust the production schedule." Production Minister Yu Xuexing told reporters that after the digital transformation, the workshop turnover speed will be faster. Faster and more productive.

Digital empowerment makes Shuanggang Electric's production process visible and controllable, products are traceable, and product quality and production efficiency have been greatly improved. Shi Makang said that next, they are planning the second phase of the digital transformation project, hoping that the digital transformation project will make enterprise management smoother, and move forward lightly on the road of high-quality development.
